Tai Chi Class

The C.A.C.A. Sunday morning tai chi class at Lincoln Community Center started in January 2006. Tai chi is one of the oldest and most widely practiced forms of exercises (or martial arts) in the world. It is beneficial to our general well-being because it strengthens our immune system, increases alertness, maintains our posture, keeps our balance, lowers blood pressure, decreases the chances of having shingles, etc. Brother Edward Yu has been practicing tai chi for a number of years and would like to spread the good news about doing tai chi. The class is free and open to all, from 8 AM to 10 AM every Sunday, except holidays. It begins with a set of qi-gong 18 movements and Chiu Gar individual push hand for warm-up, then Yang style 108 movements tai chi, and ends with Chiu Gar tai chi palm.
