Ballroom Dancing Class

We started our Monday night dance class in 2004 in collaboration with the Lincoln Community Center. It provides an opportunity for members of the Chinese community to have a place to exercise and socialize in a safe environment; and best of all, it is totally free. Line dancing was originally introduced and was taught for five years. Now beginning ballroom dance classes are taught by instructors Maurice and Tina Thai. Brother Maurice and Sister Tina have been longtime members of the Oakland Lodge and they love to share their dancing techniques with anyone who wants to learn. The class is free and is held on Monday evenings (except holidays), from 7 PM to 9 PM at Lincoln Community Center (250 10th Street, Oakland).
